E-filing in Hardin County -
E-FILING WILL BE MANDATORY
JULY 1, 2015
(please make plans to be set up by June 15th)
What does this mean to an attorney?
This means that attorneys are no longer able to file paper documents at the clerk's counter. Cover letters are not needed, unless you have a request or a proposed Order that is not accompanied with a Motion. Cover letters will be filed as an attachment to the lead document. For example, a Motion to Dismiss would be the lead document and the proposed Order would be the attachment in the electronic envelope.
What does this mean to a person filing on their own behalf (pro se litigant)?
Pro se litigants will be allowed to file documents in the District Clerk's Office electronically or via paper filing.
