Important Links

    • Food Plan Review Information Guide - Informational guide for creating plans for your food establishment for a new business or remodel. The menu and building plans are to be submitted to the Health Inspector prior to work beginning. Contact the Health Inspector for any additional information.

     

    • New Food Establishment Kit - All the information you will need to start a new business in Hardin County. This does not include information you will need from the city if your business is located in the city limits. Please see the city for permits you need. 

     

    • Disaster Information Packet - This packet includes paperwork for all disasters for assessment, response and recovery as well as a boil water notice and how to protect food and water during a storm.

  •  

    • Mobile Food Unit/Annual Catering Permit- This permit is for all Catering Establishments, Food truck and trailers that sell food, cook or deliver to Hardin County but the business is not located in Hardin County.

     

    • Mobile Food Unit Information Guide - This Guide has all the specs you will need for your mobile food unit. Whether you are building a new MFU or remodeling, all of the info is there for you.
    • Environmental Checklist - Form for certification of all Foster Parents and Adoptions. This is a free service. 

Food Handler and Food Manager Certification

Every food establishment that cooks food must have a Certified Food Manager on premises. 

Food Manager Class

Our next food manager class will be taking place on July 25th from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM at the Hardin County Annex Building


The cost for certification is $125.00 and it is valid for a total of 5 years. Please bring a laptop or tablet to take the final exam if you have one available.

Food Handler Class

Our next food handler class is to be arranged from 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM at the Hardin County Annex Building


The cost for certification is $15.00 and it is valid for a total of 2 years. Please arrive 15 minutes early if you did not pre-pay.


Group classes available at your site - must be 10 or more employees
